How do I calculate a percentage?

How do I calculate percentage change?
Percentage change = ((New Value - Old Value) / Old Value) ร 100. A positive result means an increase; a negative result means a decrease. For example, going from 100 to 125 is a +25% increase.
What is the difference between percentage change and percentage difference?
Percentage change compares a new value to an old value (directional). Percentage difference compares two values without direction โ it's the absolute difference divided by the average of the two values. For example, the percentage difference between 100 and 120 is 18.18%.
